Wines

Our priority with the Matróz line is to highlight the fruity character of the specific varieties. With this goal in mind the wines are fermented and aged in steel tanks and the bottles are closed with screwcaps. The Matróz line includes the following wines: Kapitány Irsai Olivér, Horog Chardonnay, Sextáns Rajnai Rizling, Csomó Sauvignon Blanc, Iránytű Szürkebarát, Torony Olaszrizling, Kormány Sárga Muskotály, Mentőöv Rosé and just one red Sirály Merlot.

The wines Cirkáló, Katamarán and Katamarán Rosé represent are made in a more substantial style and are all blends of two different varieties. They are partially aged in barrels and in the case of Katamarán Rosé and Cirkáló are kept on their fine lees. Katamarán is aged in barrels for at least a year before being bottled.

Nemere and Sirocco are wines made of selected grapes and represent a higher quality level. At least 50% of Nemere is aged in barrels while Sirocco is 100% barrel aged.

The grapes for our single vineyard wines come from the best plots and the wines are produced only in the best vintages. The harvest of low yielding vines is carefully sorted. Whites spend at least 6 months in barrels and reds at least 24 months. Each barrel is carefully assessed before bottling and only the best lots make it to the final product.

Sparkling wine has a long history in our region and our family has a special fondness for bubblies. The lighter category is represented by our rosé, white and red semi-sparkling wines called Kék, Zöld and Bordó. They are the summer hits of the range. With Bujdosó our méthode traditionelle sparkling wine the aim is to marry elegance and the fruity style of south Balaton.
